Aew bleacher report Valentine's Day edition had plenty of action. Here is the card advertised ahead of Wednesday's show. Dynamite opened with Jon Moxley making his way through the crowd as "Wild Thing" played.
We are coming away from the Revolution pay-per-view on Sunday with a new international champion, a new No. Dynamite opened with Tony Schiavone interviewing Swerve Strickland about coming up short at Revolution. He said that night was different and like people truly wanted him to win for the first time. He vowed to keep pursuing Samoa Joe and the world title. Joe came to the ring and talked some trash before Swerve challenged him to put the title on the line again right then and there.

The Icon is wrapping up a legendary career at Sunday's pay-per-view, so the company made sure to tout his last episode. He said he would not be able to compete at Revolution, which led to Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana coming out. Swerve said he respects everything Page has done in AEW, but now is his time to be the champion, which brought out Samoa Joe. As Swerve yelled at Joe, Page attacked him with a crutch and revealed he was not injured at all. The ruse was done well, but there were some signs it wasn't real. Man he wasn't fooling me. Page was convincing on an emotional level, but some fans noted online that a doctor would have told him to use his crutch on the other side. As anyone would expect, this was a high-energy match with a steady pace, lots of strikes and some good brawling moments. This exceeded the average AEW trios bout in many ways. All six guys are renowned for different reasons, so it was no surprise that they all worked well together, especially since many of them have previous history as rivals. Kingston has feuded with every member of the opposing team just on his own.
Harwood tried his best, but he ended up passing out to a sleeper to give Mox the win.
Did the Hall of Famer enjoy one last success under the bright lights, retiring a champion, or did the EVPs acquire even more power by taking the titles that have eluded them since ? Find out the answer to that and more with this recap of Sunday's pay-per-view broadcast, live from the historic Greensboro Coliseum, home to some of the most unforgettable moments in professional wrestling history. A messy match benefited from a hot crowd, but not enough to elevate its overall quality. There was plenty of action, sometimes disjointed, that concluded with "Switchblade" leveling Mack with Blade Runner for the win. When you take into account White wasting away at this spot on the card, though, it only makes the meaninglessness of the match stand out. How is a guy who arrived in the company with so much momentum on his side, and challenged for the world title last fall, in such a spot?

A post-match promo teased something of substance potentially coming at the Big Business episode of Dynamite on March 13 in Boston. For his sake, hopefully, it is something with long-term substance because this isn't it. The heels controlled a large portion of the match by isolating each of their opponents at different portions of the bout.

Let's take a look at what happened on Friday's episode of Rampage. Moxley and Castagnoli wore Road Warriors-esque shoulder pads to the ring, paying tribute to one of the great teams to compete in the hallowed grounds of the Greensboro Coliseum. The way Cassidy cleared the barricade with a single jump was impressive. It wasn't quite a squash, but it wasn't exactly competitive. As anyone would expect, this was a high-energy match with a steady pace, lots of strikes and some good brawling moments. She was laying them in hard. Nightingale sent Skye out of the ring with a huge pounce. After Nightingale broke up a pin by Hart on Statlander that proceeded a picture-perfect moonsault, the babyfaces mounted a comeback that concluded with a big powerbomb from Nightingale to Hart for the victory. Seeing Riho and Stat get so much time was nice, and Cage and Hook gave us a little bit of violence, but Ospreay and Fletcher easily stole the show in the main event. Cage and Daddy Magic had a standoff with some chairs until Killswitch hit him from behind. The AEW faithful were surprisingly quiet for the match, especially given the backstory and that two of the better technicians in any women's division in North America were having a quality battle.

Penta secured the win with his trademark package piledriver to end a fun bout that had the crowd on its feet. Now with a championship opportunity in his possession, it will be interesting to see if Adam Cole does as he suggested he would in his inaugural promo as the leader of Undisputed Kingdom and makes the big man hand it over to him. Takeshita delivered a brainbuster that folded Ospreay in half backward on the top rope and left him with a nasty contusion on his lower back. Penta's may have even connected a bit better. It would be fun to see Beth Phoenix and Mother Wayne interact. Stokely's face when he tried to hand Stat a chain was hilarious. Excalibur tied Garcia's focus on injuring the ankle of Cage to his time in the Jericho Appreciation Society with Jake Hager, himself known for his ankle lock. Most importantly, the show was sold on the back of Sting's retirement match and the main event lived up to expectations. Trent Beretta came out with a steel pipe to even the odds. He said he would not be able to compete at Revolution, which led to Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana coming out.
In my opinion you have gone erroneous by.
