That absolutely made no sense. I have stayed in Country Inns and Suites over the years and I have never stayed at a more run down location. I was in a room on the North side on my second trip through and it was roomier and cleaner than the room I had on an earlier visit on the South side. No free breakfast or breakfast to go. It is distressing to hear that you encountered a number of issues during your stay especially with the condition of the hotel and the cleanliness at that time. There should be trained housekeeping staff cleaning the rooms! Less than two miles from Southlake Mall, our hotel puts you just 16 miles from the beaches of Lake Michigan. The front desk was very helpful and service was quite good too, so this was a big plus for us. Comfortable Stay, very loud highway noise. To make things more interesting the lady who had earlier assured me that they would clean the room right away if it were dirty now changed her tune and backtracked on her word playing the third day servicing tune. I wanted to make you aware that we are under a new management company and are working on getting our property up to brand standards. I did want to mention though that certain things, such as the ability to serve any kind of breakfast, is currently out of our control due to the Covid Pandemic.
