Ayodhya is all set to play host to the 68th Senior Men's National Kabaddi Championship, beginning on 13th April, The 4-day kabaddi extravaganza will feature 30 teams across the country battling it out to win India's premier inter-state competition. The reigning champions - Indian Railway will be eyeing their third consecutive title after bagging their second title on the trot last year. With players like Pawan Sehrawat, Vikash Kandola, Parvesh Bhainswal and Sunil Kumar in their ranks, the opponents will face a rather tough challenge in dethroning the defending champions. The competition will also provide a platform for young kabaddi players to showcase their skills on the mat. Unlike the previous edition, this year 30 teams are divided into eight groups A to H.

The 67th Senior National Kabaddi Championships was held in Jaipur, Rajasthan which saw 31 teams from the men section and 30 teams from the women's section fight it out for the championship. A total of 30 state and department teams from India will fight it out for the championship in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The 30 teams have been divided into eight pools based on their performance in the last edition of the tournament. Pool A and Pool B have three teams each and the rest of the six pools have four teams each. The Matches are set to happen from 2pm on all days of the tournament and It promises to be an 4 days of high intensity Kabaddi where the best players from the country will be seen in action.
