I have a problem, I bought a x3d processor and a Gigabyte xs Aero G motherboard. The processor temperatures are too high. In idle, they reach degrees, after starting the Chrome browser, it even jumps to around degrees. In games it does not exceed 90 degrees, which is acceptable, but in idle the cooling noise is unbearable. I'm talking about boost mode here, where the clock constantly jumps from about MHz to about MHz. Without the boost mode the temperatures are ok, but the clock is stuck at MHz. With x on the B board, it was about 35 degrees at rest, about 60 degrees in games. Will a better AiO solve the problem? From what I've read online, the ones I have should be sufficient. I tried lubricating the paste in different ways, it did not give much effect.

In iddle it stays at 50c. On the other side, the GPU it's perfect, it barely reaches 70c in full load, so I know the airflow it's on point. I'm concerned because I play a lot of hours, and sometimes I render 3D, meaning that the CPU will be full load with 90 degrees a considerable amount of time, and I don't know how safe will it be at that temp. Is there anything I can do?

They spend tons of money liquid cooling this and that, but then shrug at the notion of re-introducing the very heat they're spending time, money, and effort to deal with. I get pretty similar issues also with my x3d Hello, i recently installed a x3d with a brand new PASE. On the other hand, I may need to dismantle a lot of stuff to mount the MSI cooler as well, so not sure whether it would be an easier mount than an air lead brick model. Start a New Discussion.
