As the workshop gets ever busier building new locomotives, the chances of this getting in any time soon are getting more and more remote, so here it is, wheeled out into the daylight for the first time this year. A beautifully built 4 inch scale Foster - I would rate it as one of the top two or three I've had to this design over the years. Machining is very crisp throughout, paintwork well done, not overly flamboyant and in good condition, detailing is excellent with correct use of locking nuts on bearing caps, thread holes for jacking screws in the valve chest cover, canvas-covered check chain between the main steering chains - the whole thing is a particularly well made engine.

The SCC makes for an interesting model and is quite a rare engine. They drive in a very similar way to the standard single cylinder version but with the added benefit of more power, improved efficiency and some extra weight over the front end. With the addition of the belly tanks there is little chance of this engine "popping a wheelie" even with the stoutest of drivers. This one comes with both a single and double seat arrangement. This engine has had a number of improvements from the standard Steam Traction World design having had a Foster style lubricator fitted and a number of steam fittings change to those from R A Barker. The canopy is another nice addition and for ease of driving there is a cut out at the rear which can be easily removed, it is also fitted with LED lights for use in the evenings.
