It's not only domestic trucks that seem to be getting the attention of collectors. This week, there's a rather sharp-looking Datsun pickup on eBay that has received quite a few bids. Even though this Datsun is for sale out of Texas, the seller claims that it spent most of its life in Flagstaff, Ariz. That's about as good a start to a vehicle listing on eBay as one can ask for, climate-wise. This truck is equipped with a few rare options like air conditioning, a tachometer and an automatic transmission. I believe that to be the case too. It runs good and does use a little oil as you would expect an engine with 95k miles to do. It had this weber carb on it when I got it but I did also get the original carburetor with automatic choke and the original air cleaner. I sent the original carb to California for a rebuild and used it for a few months but I had trouble with a couple of the bolts loosening and falling out after driving it a while. After I switched it back to the weber I read that this was pretty common and some lock-tite can take care of it. I never switched it back but wanted to since I like the original stock look with the air cleaner. Having spent most of its life in Arizona, we have to admit it looks pretty good, and it's been resprayed in the original color. The truck received four new tires and a windows-out repaint in , and we have to admit that it does come across rather well even in the eBay listing photos. The seller has replaced the original AM radio with a different unit because the original wasn't working well, and he has installed black carpets instead of the stock rubber floormats.

More impressive are the bezels. The shape was mercifully not derived from its size-kin passenger cars. An extra-special flourish is the bullet-side that starts halfway along the shoulder of the door. The body was essentially a b-pillar-forward version of the Pininfarina Bluebird, with updated front clip to mimic the smartly shaped in-house In the US, the was powered by the same cc I4 from the
