Just wondering if anyone has any tips for this problem.

Hi, im looking at lining my brick wall in my garage with plasterboard. As it will have services for plumbing and electricity I'll need to batten it out. After looking online it looks like most people use 50x50 battens but I can't find them, are 90x45 studs the next best? Just another quick one guys, since I'm screwing battens direct to the wall now and not building a stud wall frame im guessing I really only need to put up battens and noggins and no top and bottom plate? Also screwing the battens to the wall just 7 or 8mm plugs and screws? Ummmmmm Id still wantto put in a top plate and bottom plate. Bottom for the skirting board and also to provide strength to the distance between battens and the top for the same type of deal with cornice.

I'm thinking of adding a shelf on to the bench top, I would be able to connect a top and bottom around the desk flange and add a 10cm pipe, maybe a right angle and attach wood to that, some how Great to see you have been inspired by ogosh. Just remember to use thick felt pad feet covers so you dont end up scratching your nice floor. Looks very nice and excellently laid out. You should be fine with a couple of computers. I am planning to DIY deck in my backyard and I was firstly going to install 90x90 posts, but found there is a pipe running and I cannot dig near the house for the posts. Now I am leaning towards installing a ledger board attached to house. But unsure how do I attach it to the house and what size timer to use and what do I do to make sure its water safe as it is attached to house. I have attached a photo of part of the house where the deck will get extend to. I can attach dynabolt on the alfresco tiles and fix the ledger board.
